January 5, 2009 Primrose Lodge #79 (Bowman) will host
a Lodge of Instruction. These classes will continue for 6 weeks and be
conducted by WB Dennis Helmrich. The classes
will begin at 7:30 P.M. for the first 6 Monday nights in the New Year.
January 7, 2009 Dawson Lodge #68
(Social Circle) will host a School of Instruction. The classes will be
conducted by WB Mercer Collins. The classes will run for the first 6
Wednesdays of the New Year at 7:00 P.M. Eat at 6:30 P.M.
January 21 Athens-Piedmont Scottish Rite Association Officers Meeting 7:30 p.m.
January 24, 2008 Keystone Chapter Royal Arch will host an
all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tickets are
$5 each. This event will be at Mt Vernon Lodge #22 in Athens.
January 17, 2009 at Mt Vernon #22 in Athens there will
be a York Rite Festival. Get your petitions in early for the Royal Arch,
Council and Commandery. There will be coffee
and donuts, the degrees will start at 8:30 A.M. sharp. Contact Rodney

2009= Solomon Lodge #1= 275th. (Savannah) Anniversary
Celebration. Commemoration the founding of Georgia
Masonry and the oldest continuously operating English constituted lodge of
Freemasons in the Western Hemisphere. We will meet at Freemason’s Hall
at 100 E. Bay St. Savannah, Ga. Meeting start at 11am.
First section Masters Degree. Followed by lunch and then the
second section of the Masters Degree. All Qualified Freemason are
cordially invited to attend!!!

When the next eighth district meeting was scheduled we were unaware
that the eighth district Royal Arch had also scheduled a meeting at the same
time and at the same place. After consideration of this dilemma the
meeting has been stepped up by 30 minutes. Instead of starting at 7:00
P.M. it will now start at 6:30 P.M. The meeting for the Royal Arch will
go on as scheduled. Telephone conferencing with WB Jim Stogden and EHP Mike Jones has
this confirmed.
Worshipful Master Jim Stogden would like
to inform the members of the 8th Masonic District that based on the
recommendation at the August 29th meeting, the next District meeting
will be held on January 29, 2009 at Amity Lodge #731 in Watkinsville at 6:30
P.M. This is on a 5th Thursday of the month and it should not
interfere with another Masonic function. It is respectfully requested
that all Worshipful Masters and Secretaries as well to all officers and
committee members to attend this meeting and as always the invitation is
extended to all master Masons of the 8th Masonic District.

awarded a certificate. All you have to do is mail you answer sheets to
your District Meld committee person.
